LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, EASING A LITTLE DURING THE DAY AND STRENGTHENING AGAIN ALL ALONG THE ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT TO 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 60 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING AND DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough over the Adriatic is slowly filling up, while a ridge of high pressure will intensify from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 6-16, in places up to 24, easing a little during the day and turning to NW 10-20, and strengthening again in the evening to 15-25, in places up to 30 knots. Sea 2-3, locally in the open of the South Adriatic up to 4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear, but becoming variably cloudy in the afternoon, with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder in the evening.
