SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying slowly toward the Adriatic from the west, while unstable air is still circulating in high levels.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-14, strengthening around midday to 10-20, in places up to 26 knots, and turning in the evening to NE, firstly along the coast. Sea gradually increasing to 2-3, in the afternoon to 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Sunny at first, but gradual cloud increase is expected later on, bringing possibly rain or isolated rain showers with thunder from midday.

Moderate to strong, only in places up to near gale force NE winds. Sea slight and moderate. Gradual clearing. In the South, at first in a part of the Central Adriatic as well, variably cloudy, still with a risk of scattered rain or isolated rain showers with thunder.
