A field of lowered air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a frontal system is approaching from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds strengthening to 14-28, turning in the greater part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and in the evening to NW. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy and hot, with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, firstly in the North, then in a part of the Central Adriatic.

Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force SW and NW, in the South Adriatic during the night still SE winds, easing in the morning, firstly in the northern part. Sea slight and moderate. Variably cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected in the morning, firstly in the northern part.
