WARNING

LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS AROUND 35, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 50, EASING A LITTLE AROUND MIDDAY AND STRENGTHENING AGAIN ALL ALONG THE ADRIATIC IN THE EVENING TO 35-50 KNOTS. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened frontal disturbance is shifting southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 4-14, in places up to 18, and in the Velebit Channel NE up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Fine or fair, along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder.

NE winds strengthening all along the Adriatic to moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force. Sea slight and moderate. Mostly clear with some cloud only in places.
