IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A field of mean and almost equalized air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a weakened cold front is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the greater part of the Adriatic SW and NW winds 4-12 knots. In the North, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic, NE and NW winds 6-14, in places briefly up to 18, and in the Velebit Channel NE up to 22 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3. Visibility 20 km. Cloud increase with scattered rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, firstly in the North, in the evening in the rest of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, in places briefly up to fresh NE and NW winds. In the Velebit Channel moderate to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight. Variably cloudy with scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder. Gradual clearing is expected firstly in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning.
