LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC. GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS EXPECTED IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY AND DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of a little lowered air pressure lies over the Adriatic, while a weakened frontal system is shifting more to the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10 knots. In the South Adriatic SE winds 6-14 knots, easing in the afternoon. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the North and in places along the coast of the Central Adriatic, variably cloudy with light scattered rain or isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing is expected in the afternoon. No significant change in air temperatures.

Mostly clear. In the North and along the coast of the rest of the Adriatic moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE, toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the North Adriatic up to moderate.
