A RISK OF GUSTS OF N AND NW WINDS IN PLACES, MAINLY IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC AND IN THE COURSE OF THE NIGHT OF NE WIND 35-45 KNOTS. STILL TODAY A LOW RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

N and NW winds 10-20, towards the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic up to 25 knots while westwards and northwards of Istria of 4-14 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic 3-4, westwards and northwards of Istria 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, in the afternoon in places along the coast of a part of the Central and South Adriatic moderate cloudiness and in the extreme south more clouds and a low risk of a shower with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Moderate to fresh, still initially in the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic also strong NW wind, in the course of the night turning to moderate, only in places strong NE wind. Westwards and northwards of Istria light to moderate NW wind, gradually ceasing completely. Sea smooth to slight, still today in the open of the South and Central Adriatic moderate while westwards and northwards of Istria calm or smooth.
