SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure is weakening slowly over the Adriatic while a shallow trough with a frontal system is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or winds from mainly SW and NW directions 4-10, in the afternoon in places up to 14 knots. Sea 1-2. Visibility 10-20 km, in places possibly reduced to about 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly midday and in the afternoon along the coast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mainly light SW and NW winds, in the first part of the night, at first in the North Adriatic, then also elsewhere reinforced, locally also strong NE wind. Sea smooth, at night intensifying to slight. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and showers with thunder, particularly at night.
