IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS AND A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE AFTERNOON.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the European land lies over the Adriatic, while unstable air is still circulating in high levels, more to the south.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and NW winds 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE 10-20, in places up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Fine or fair, but along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy with a risk of brief isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate, only in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to strong, NE winds, gradually easing in the morning, most lately in the extreme south of the Adriatic. Sea smooth, in the southern part up to slight, and in the open up to moderate at first. Mostly clear.
