SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening and a shallow trough is approaching from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds strengthening to 12-24, in places from midday up to 32 knots. Sea increasing to 3-4, locally from midday to 4-5, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20 km. Gradual cloud increase with a risk of a little rain in the extreme north and south of the Adriatic during the forenoon.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Variably or mainly cloudy with rain in places and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly from the middle of the night. Strong, in the Central and South Adriatic up to near gale force SE winds, easing in the North Adriatic tomorrow before the morning to fresh. Sea moderate, locally up to rough, mainly toward the open.
