SYNOPSIS

A weakened frontal system is shifting across the Adriatic and a field of high pressure is expected to intensify briefly later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Variable winds, in the North Adriatic mainly E and SE, 4-12, in the Bay of Kvarner briefly NE up to 18, and in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 1-2, in the northern part 2-3. Visibility above 20 km. Variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder along the coast. Clearing is expected in the North Adriatic in the afternoon. No significant change in air temperatures.
