ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS. LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40, EASING GRADUALLY, FIRSTLY IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE ADRIATIC, BUT STRENGTHENING AGAIN IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC TOMORROW TOWARD MIDDAY TO 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow depression over the Adriatic keeps an unsettled weather and a new trough with frontal system is expected to shift across the Adriatic tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, easing slowly and turning to NW, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Sea 2-3, in the open 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic. Partial clearing is expected toward the end of the day.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

NW winds turning to light to moderate SE and strengthening gradually up to fresh, turning in the North Adriatic toward midday to moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, NE. Sea smooth or slight, increasing in the North Adriatic toward midday up to moderate. A new cloud increase is expected, bringing rain and isolated rain showers with thunder, particularly in the North Adriatic.
