A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC. IN THE EVENING LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS, EASING TOMORROW DURING THE FORENOON.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with weakened frontal system is shifting across the inland and a part of the Adriatic further eastwards, but a field of high pressure will intensify again later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, along the coast SW winds as well, 4-12, turning late in the afternoon, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, to NE and gradually strengthening to 12-22, spreading in the evening and during the night to a part of the Central and strengthening in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing in the evening to 2-3, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic late in the night possibly to 3-4, mainly toward the open. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist. Mostly clear. In the North, toward the end of the day gradually in the greater part of the Central Adriatic as well, variably cloudy with a risk of scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder.

Mostly clear, but in the North and Central Adriatic at first still variably cloudy with a risk of a little rain or brief isolated rain showers with thunder. Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds, spreading gradually to the rest of the Adriatic and easing during the forenoon to light to moderate. Sea smooth or slight, in the North and Central Adriatic during the night possibly up to moderate, mainly toward the open.
