SYNOPSIS

A cold front will be shifting across the Adriatic during the day, but a ridge of high pressure will intensify later on from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 4-14, in places briefly around midday up to 18 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly in the afternoon.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in places briefly up to near gale force NE winds. Sea slight. Precipitation gradually dying out and cloud thinning and breaking up, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic, but isolated rain showers and thunder are still possible at first.
