SYNOPSIS

A low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is slowly filling up and shifting southwards, while moist and unstable air is circulating in high levels over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 4-12, in the extreme south of the South Adriatic up to 18, and in the North Adriatic mainly NE and E winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots, easing gradually during the night. Sea 2-3, calming gradually during the night. Visibility 10-20, but in places around 5 km due to mist. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain or brief isolated rain showers and thunder.
