LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS, EASING IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT. SEA STILL LOCALLY 4-5 TODAY, MAINLY TOWARD THE OPEN. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE SOUTH AND IN THE GREATER PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow low over Corsica is extending a trough toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE winds 12-24, in the open sea up to 28 knots. Sea 3-4, locally in the open possibly 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear with some cloud in places, more in the North Adriatic where a little rain is possible.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear with some cloud in places. In the South and Central Adriatic cloud increase with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder from the middle of the night, mainly in the open sea. Moderate to fresh, in places up to strong SE winds. In the greater part of the Adriatic in the second part of the night SE winds gradually dying away, only in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic still up to strong. Sea slight and moderate, locally in the open today possibly up to rough, calming to smooth and slight in the North and in the greater part of the Central Adriatic from the middle of the night.
