SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 24, and in the Velebit Channel up to 28 knots, easing a little and turning toward the open sea to NW, strengthening again late in the day. Sea 2-3, toward the open and in the Velebit Channel 3-4, locally in the North Adriatic at first still 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic during the day still variably cloudy, mainly in the open sea, where a little rain is possible.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force NE winds, gradually easing and turning toward midday to light to moderate NW. Sea slight and moderate, gradually calming tomorrow morning. Mostly clear.
