SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 12-24, in places up to 28, easing in the greater part of the Adriatic around midday and turning to NW 6-16, only in northern Dalmatia, in the Velebit Channel and in the extreme south of the Adriatic still NE winds 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3, locally today still 3-4, mainly in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic this morning still variably cloudy with a little rain in places, mainly in the open sea.

Mostly clear. Moderate NW, during the night again light to moderate, in places up to fresh, NE winds. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South Adriatic possibly up to moderate.
