IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC IN THE SECOND PART OF THE DAY AND IN THE REST OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching the Adriatic from the west.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds strengthening to 10-20, in the Velebit Channel up to 30 knots. Along coast of the rest of the Adriatic almost calm, then NW winds strengthening to 10-20 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist. Cloud increase with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Air temperatures will drop.

Moderate to strong, in the Velebit Channel up to near gale force, NE winds. Sea slight and moderate. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mostly clear, elsewhere variably cloudy with scattered rain at first.
