SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the north lies over the Adriatic, while a low over the Aegean Sea is slowly filling up and shifting further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 10-20, in places up to 26 knots, turning brielfy toward the open of the Central and South Adriatic in the afternoon to NW. West of Istria NE and E winds 4-12 knots. Sea 2-3, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic 3-4. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear with some passing variable cloud. In the extreme south of the Adriatic a risk of light scattered rain toward the end of the day. Air temperatures a little lower.

Moderate, in places up to strong NE winds. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear. In the extreme south of the Adriatic variably cloudy and a chance of light scattered rain, mainly in the first part of the night.
