SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northwest, while a low still lies over the Aegean Sea.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, toward the open sea N winds as well, 16-32, in places up to 38, easing in the North Adriatic toward the end of the day to 12-24, west of Istria to 4-14 knots. Sea 3-4, west of Istria 2-3, and toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5. Visibility above 20 km. Mostly clear.

NE and N winds gradually easing to moderate and strong in the South and Central Adriatic as well and turning in the open tomorrow toward midday to NW. Sea smooth or slight, in the open up to moderate, and in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic possibly up to rough at first. Fine or fair. Air temperatures a little lower.
