LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, IN THE OPEN SEA OF N and NW WINDS, 35-40, STRENGTHENING TO 35-55 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN OF THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC INCREASING IN THE AFTERNOON UP TO 5. A LITTLE RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, MAINLY IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC LATE IN THE DAY.

SYNOPSIS

A weakened frontal system will be shifting across the Adriatic southeastwards and a ridge of high pressure will intensify later on.

NE and N winds 8-18, in the open of the Central and South Adriatic N and NW up to 22, strengthening during the day to 14-26, in the open sea up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, increasing to 3-4, toward the open of the Central and South Adriatic 3-4, increasing in the afternoon to 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy with a chance of a little rain in places or isolated rain showers and thunder, mainly in the South Adriatic late in the day.
