SYNOPSIS

A low over the Ionian Sea is gradually filling up and a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north toward the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 15-25, in places up to 30, and in the Velebit Channel 30-40 knots. Sea 3-4, toward the open 4-5. Visibility 15-25 km. Mostly clear with some variable cloud in places. Air temperatures a little higher.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear. Along the west Istrian coast light, elsewhere moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE, toward the open N winds. Along the west Istrian coast sea smooth, elsewhere slight, and toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
