SYNOPSIS

A trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the southern part of the Adriatic further eastwards and a ridge of high pressure from the southwest will intensify a little later on.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW, in the South Adriatic at first still SW winds, 12-24, in the open up to 34, turning briefly in the extreme north and in the Velebit Channel to NE 12-22 knots. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic wind will ease till the end of the day and turn again to SE and SW 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic toward the end of the day to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Overcast with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Clearing in the North and in a part of the Central, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear, but in the North Adriatic a new cloud increase with a little rain in the wider area of Rijeka during the forenoon. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic light to moderate SE and SW, in the Bay of Kvarneriæ in the morning up to fresh SE winds. In the rest of the Adriatic light to moderate NW, in places along the coast NE, toward the open during the night still up to fresh, easing in the morning. Sea smooth or slight, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic still up to moderate during the night.
