SYNOPSIS

A low centred over the South Adriatic is slowly shifting southeastwards, while a ridge of high pressure is intensifying from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, in the open sea NW winds, 10-20, only in places up to 24, easing gradually to 6-16 knots. Sea 3-4, calming to 2-3. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, but in the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with scattered rain and with a chance of isolated rain showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NW, along the coast light, only in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate NE winds. Sea smooth or slight. Mostly clear, only in the South Adriatic still variably cloudy with a chance of rain, mainly in the extreme south.
