WARNING

FOG PATCHES HERE AND THERE. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND IN THE CENTRAL LATER ON, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE, TOWARD THE OPEN SEA OF NW WINDS, 35-45, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 55 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is gradually weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10 knots. Late in the day and during the night SE winds strengthening to 4-14, in places up to 18 knots, and turning to SW. Sea 1-2, gradually increasing during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear, but in places along the coast variably cloudy, where gradual heavier cloud increase is expected from the west late in the day and during the night, bringing rain or showers with thunder in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate SE and SW winds turning in the North, then gradually in the Central Adriatic as well, to moderate to strong NE and NW, in the Velebit Channel to NE winds briefly up to near gale force. Sea smooth or slight, increasing toward the open of the North and Central Adriatic to moderate. Mist in places and a risk of fog at first. Mainly cloudy with rain or showers with thunder in places.
