SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Calm or variable winds 4-10 knots. Late in the day and during the night NE winds 4-10, gradually strengthening in the North Adriatic to 8-18 knots. Sea 1-2, increasing in the North Adriatic during the night to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, during the night possibly to less than 1 km due to fog. Variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain in the open sea and along the coast of the South Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light NE winds, in the North Adriatic up to fresh, in the Velebit Channel toward midday up to strong. Sea smooth, in the North Adriatic up to slight. During the night and in the morning mist in places and a chance of fog here and there. Variably cloudy with light scattered rain, mainly in the open sea and along the coast of the South Adriatic.
