LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW, DURING THE NIGHT BRIEFLY OF NW WINDS, 35-40, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC UP TO 45 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards. A low is expected to generate over the Gulf of Genoa tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 6-16, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic up to 24, strengthening toward the end of the day to 14-28, in the North Adriatic briefly up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South and in a part of the Central, during the night and tomorrow morning in the rest of the Adriatic, 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places around 4 km due to mist. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder, particularly during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong, in places up to near gale force SE and SW, turning to NW winds and easing in the North Adriatic toward the morning and elsewhere later on. In the North Adriatic toward midday again light to moderate SE winds. Sea slight and moderate, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the morning. Variably cloudy with rain, showers and thunder in places.
