LOCAL GUSTS OF SE and SW, DURING THE NIGHT BRIEFLY OF NW WINDS, 35-40, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC UP TO 45 KNOTS. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS, PARTICULARLY DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A shallow trough with frontal disturbance is shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards. A low is expected to generate over the Gulf of Genoa tomorrow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 6-16, in the southern part up to 20, strengthening again toward the end of the day to 12-26, in the North Adriatic briefly up to 32 knots. Sea 2-3, in the South, during the night in the rest of the Adriatic, 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places around 5 km due to mist. Mainly cloudy with rain, isolated rain showers and thunder. Cloud thinning and breaking up briefly around midday.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong, in places up to near gale force SE and SW, turning around the middle of the night to NW winds and easing toward the morning, firstly in the northern part of the Adriatic. Sea slight and moderate, calming in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic in the second part of the night. Overcast with rain, showers and thunder in places.
