A RISK OF FOG, MAINLY THIS MORNING. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC FROM MIDDAY AND IN THE CENTRAL DURING THE NIGHT, A RISK OF GUSTS OF SE WINDS UP TO 35 KNOTS. A LITTLE CHANCE OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic will weaken slowly, while a shallow trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE, in the open sea S winds, strengthening to 10-20, in the North Adriatic from midday up to 24 knots. West and north of Istria S and SW winds strengthening to 6-16 knots. Sea increasing to 2-3, locally in the northern part of the Adriatic during the night to 3-4. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 4 km due to mist, or even to less than 1 km due to fog, mainly this morning. In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly cloudy with rain, elsewhere variably cloudy with a little rain in the extreme south of the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic mainly cloudy with rain and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, in the wider area of Rijeka with more abundant precipitation. In the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic variably cloudy, in the extreme south, from the middle of the night elsewhere as well, with a little rain in places. Moderate to fresh, in the North, then in the Central Adriatic as well, up to strong SE winds. West and north of Istria light to moderate, in the second part of the night up to fresh S and SW winds. Sea slight and moderate.
