SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the north, while a shallow trough over the Aegean Sea is gradually filling up and shifting eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 10-20, in places up to 25, and in the Velebit Channel 30-40, easing in the second part of the day and turning toward the open of the Central Adriatic in the afternoon to NW 8-16 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open 3-4, and in the Velebit Channel 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear. Air temperatures a little lower.
