LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS STRENGTHENING TO 35-45, IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC UP TO 65, AND IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL UP TO 80 KNOTS. IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC SEA POSSIBLY UP TO 5 DURING THE NIGHT. A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure lies north of the Adriatic and a low over the Ionian Sea.

NE winds 6-16, in the Velebit Channel up to 26, strengthening to 10-22, in the North Adriatic up to 32, and in the Velebit Channel up to 40 knots. Sea 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the North Adriatic mostly clear, elsewhere mainly cloudy with scattered rain, isolated rain showers and thunder in the extreme south of the Adriatic.
