IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AND NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC, A RISK OF GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the northeast and it will gradually weaken a little, while a low over the central Mediterranean is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-14, in the extreme south and north of the Adriatic up to 20, and in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots. In the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic SE and E winds strengthening to 6-16 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 5 km. Mostly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain, mainly in the South and Central Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NE winds, in the extreme north and south of the Adriatic up to fresh, and in the Velebit Channel up to strong. In the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic light to moderate SE winds strengthening to moderate to fresh. Sea smooth or slight, from the middle of the night in the open of the South and Central Adriatic increasing up to moderate. Mist in places. Mostly clear, but in the open sea still variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain.
