IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AND NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC DURING THE NIGHT AND IN THE MORNING, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending from the northeast toward the Adriatic and it will gradually weaken a little, while a low over the central Mediterranean is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-10, strengthening late in the day to 4-14, in the extreme south and north of the Adriatic up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 8-18, in places up to 24 knots. Sea 1-2, in the open and in the Velebit Channel 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist reduced to around 5 km. Mostly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy with a risk of light scattered rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NE, in the extreme north and south of the Adriatic up to fresh, and in the Velebit Channel up to strong, turning toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic to SE and E winds and gradually strengthening. Sea smooth, in the open and in the Velebit Channel up to slight. Mostly clear. In the open sea still variably cloudy with risk of light scattered rain.
