IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL, DURING THE NIGHT IN THE EXTREME SOUTH AND NORTH OF THE ADRIATIC, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-45 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is extending toward the Adriatic from the northeast and it will gradually weaken a little, while a low is deepening over the central Mediterranean.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE winds 4-12, strengthening toward the end of the day in the extreme south and north of the Adriatic up to 20 knots. In the Velebit Channel NE winds 8-18, in places up to 24 knots, easing briefly, but strengthening again in the evening. Sea 1-2, in the open 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist possibly around 5 km. Mostly clear. In the open sea variably cloudy with light scattered rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Light to moderate NE, in the extreme north and south of the Adriatic up to fresh, in the Velebit Channel up to strong, turning toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic in the second part of the night to SE and E winds and gradually strengthening. Sea smooth, in the open up to slight. Mostly clear, but in the open sea still variably cloudy with a chance of light scattered rain.
