SEA LOCALLY 5, IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC UP TO 6. ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS MAINLY TOWARD THE OPEN SEA OF THE SOUTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC.

SYNOPSIS

A low lies over the Tyrrhenian sea and it will be filling up slowly and shifting eastwards, while a ridge of high pressure will slowly intensify toward the Adriatic from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE, toward the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic E and SE winds, strengthening to 16-32, in places up to 38, in the North Adriatic up to 48 and in the Velebit Channel up to 58 knots. Sea increasing to 4-5, in the open of the North Adriatic to 5-6. Visibility 10-20 km. Mainly cloudy with scattered rain, along the coast with a risk of snow, while isolated rain showers and thunder are possible mainly toward the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic.

Strong and gale force NE, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic E and SE winds. In the North Adriatic NE winds up to storm force in places. Sea moderate, in places rough, and in the open of the northern part up to very rough. Variably cloudy with rain in places, along the coast with a risk of snow, while isolated rain showers and thunder are possible toward the open sea of the South and Central Adriatic.
