LOCAL GUSTS OF NE and E, IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC OF SE and E WINDS, GRADUALLY STRENGTHENING TO 35-50, IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL DURING THE NIGHT AND TOMORROW UP TO 75 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA A RISK OF LIGHT ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS AND SEA FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT UP TO 5.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure has intensified a little over the Adriatic from the northwest, while a low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is deepening.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and E, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic SE and E winds, 10-20, in the Velebit Channel NE up to 24, strengthening toward the end of the day to 12-28, in the Velebit Channel up to 38 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open and in the Velebit Channel increasing to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. In the open sea cloudy with scattered rain and isolated rain showers and thunder. Gradual cloud increase is expected along the coast as well.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Strong, in places up to near gale force NE and E, in the open of the South Adriatic SE, and in the Velebit Channel NE winds up to gale force. Sea increasing to moderate and rough. Overcast with rain in the open sea and with a risk of isolated rain showers and thunder, while light precipitation is also possible along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic.
