SYNOPSIS

A deep trough with frontal system is approaching from the northwest and it will be shifting across the Adriatic further eastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and S winds 14-28, in places up to 36 knots. West of Istria, till the evening in the North and in the greater part of the Central, and during the night in the rest of the Adriatic as well, winds gradually turning to W, then to NW, and along the coast of the northern part in the evening briefly to NE. Sea 4-5. Visibility 5-15 km. Mainly cloudy with rain and heavier rain showers and thunder, in places of the northern part during the night with a risk of snow.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to near gale force, in places briefly up to gale force W and NW, along the coast of the North Adriatic up to strong NE winds, gradually easing in the northern part tomorrow morning. Sea moderate and rough, calming in the northern part of the Adriatic tomorrow morning. Variably cloudy with scattered rain and isolated thundery rain showers, in the North Adriatic with a risk of snow.
