SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic. A shallow low is generating over the Ligurian Sea and it will be shifting across the Tyrrhenian Sea southeastwards.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds along the west Istrian coast 6-12, elsewhere 12-24, and toward the open of the Central and of a part of the South Adriatic 25-32 knots. Sea 2-3, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic 4-5. Visibility above 20 km. Variably cloudy with a chance of light rain or snow in the open sea. Mostly clear will remain along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic. Air temperatures warming up a little.

Mostly clear with some passing cloud. Moderate to strong, in places up to near gale force NE and N winds. Sea smooth or slight, toward the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to moderate.
