SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is intensifying over the Adriatic from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds 16-32, in places up to 40, easing in the North Adriatic to 10-20, west of Istria to 4-14, in the South and Central Adriatic toward the end of the day and during the night to 14-28 knots. Sea 3-4, toward the open of the South and Central Adriatic 5-6, calming during the night. Visibility 10-30 km. Mostly clear and very cold, and in the open sea variably cloudy with a chance of light snow. Cloud increase is expected in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic during the night.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic moderate, in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE, in the South and Central Adriatic strong and gale force NE and N winds easing a little. Sea slight and moderate, in the open of the South and Central Adriatic in the first part of the night still up to rough. Variably cloudy with a chance of rain or snow in the open sea. Mostly clear will remain along the coast of the southern part.
