SYNOPSIS

A deep trough with a cold front is approaching from the northwest towards the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

Mainly NW and SW winds 4-12, in the South Adriatic up to 16 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 20 km, at night 10-20 km. Mostly clear, in places variable cloudiness. At night more intense cloud increase, then scattered rain and showers with thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Moderate to strong NE and N winds are expected, midday in places also of near gale force. In the beginning in the South Adriatic moderate and fresh SW and NW winds. Sea slight and moderate, tomorrow midday in the open sea of the North and Central Adriatic possibly also rough. Cloudy, scattered rain and showers, along the coast also a risk of snow but already in the morning clearing up is expected in the North and Central Adriatic.
