SYNOPSIS

A shallow low from the South Adriatic is shifting towards the east while a deep trough with a cold front is approaching from the northwest.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW wind 6-12, towards the open sea up to 16 knots, diminishing in the afternoon and in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic turning to SW wind 6-12 knots. Sea 2-3. Visibility 15-25 km. Mostly clear, in the South Adriatic variably cloudy with scattered rain, then clearing up. No significant change in air temperatures.

More intense cloud increase, scattered rain and showers with thunder. Moderate to strong NE, towards the open sea NW winds while in the extreme south of the Adriatic moderate SW wind. Sea smooth to slight, towards the open sea of the Central Adriatic moderate.
