A shallow low is shifting from the Ligurian sea towards the southeast.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the South and in a small part of the Central Adriatic SE and SW winds 10-20 knots. In the North and in a larger part of the Central Adriatic NE wind 12-24, briefly up to 28, in the beginning in the Velebit Channel up to 34 knots, gradually also spreading to southern part. Sea 3-4, in the afternoon in the Velebit Channel briefly possible also to be 4-5. Visibility 10-20 km. In northern part of the Adriatic mostly clear, late in the day and at night clearing up is also expected in the Central Adriatic while in the South, in the beginning also in a part of the Central Adriatic cloudy with rain, locally with showers and thunder.

Moderate to strong, in places temporarily also near gale NE wind, gradually diminishing and turning to fresh NW wind. Sea slight, in the beginning also moderate.
