SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

SE and SW winds 10-18 knots, late in the day in the North Adriatic turning to NE wind. Sea 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist. Gradual more intense cloud increase with scattered rain, locally in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic with showers and thunder.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly cloudy with rain, showers with thunder, in the Velebit Channel with NE wind-driven snow. In the North Adriatic and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong and near gale NE wind, with gusts of gale force while elsewhere light to moderate S and SW winds. Sea smooth to slight, in the morning in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic moderate. A little lower air temperatures.
