STILL IN THE MORNING IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC A RISK OF FOG. DURING THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A RISK OF THUNDERSTORMS. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC GUSTS OF NE WIND 35-60 KNOTS.

SYNOPSIS

A field of high pressure over the Adriatic is weakening, while a trough with frontal disturbance is approaching from the north.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic SW, along the coast in the beginning also SE winds 6-16 knots, late in the day southwards of Istria SW locally up to 22 knots. Elsewhere SW, along the coast SE and E winds reinforcing to 6-16 knots. Sea 1-2, in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic, till late in the day also elsewhere intensifying to 2-3. Visibility 10-20, in places reduced to around 5 km due to mist, still in the morning in the open of the North Adriatic possibly to less than 1 km due to fog. Gradual more intense cloud increase, from the middle of the night in the North Adriatic, at night elsewhere rain is expected in places.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly cloudy with rain, from the middle of the night in the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic a risk of showers with thunder, at the foot of Velebit of NE wind-driven snow. In the North Adriatic light to moderate, southwards of Istria moderate to strong SW wind, from the middle of the night turning to NE wind reinforcing early in the morning to strong, in places of near gale force. Elsewhere light to moderate SW, along the coast SE wind, in the second part of the night in places fresh. Sea slight, in northern part increasing to moderate.
