SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure from the north-west is strengthening over the Adriatic, while a shallow trough with cold front is shifting over the Adriatic further on towards the south.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NE and N winds strengthening to 14-28 knots. Sea 2-3, in the North Adriatic, then also elsewhere strengthening to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km. Mostly clear, still during the day in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with variable cloudiness a chance of light rain.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE NEXT 12 HOURS

Mostly clear, southwards of Istria moderate cloud increase. Moderate to strong NE and N winds, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic strong, locally also of near gale force, towards the open sea also of gale force. Sea slight and moderate, in the open sea of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic intensifying to rough.
