IN THE VELEBIT CHANNEL IN THE MORNING AND AGAIN DURING THE NIGHT, AND IN THE EXTREME SOUTH OF THE ADRIATIC ONLY IN THE MORNING, LOCAL GUSTS OF NE WINDS 35-40 KNOTS. IN THE OPEN SEA OF THE NORTH ADRIATIC A RISK OF FOG DURING THE NIGHT.

A field of high pressure lies over the Adriatic.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

NW winds 6-16, in the open of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic up to 20 knots. Along the coast in the morning and again in the evening, NE winds 4-12, only in the extreme south and in the Velebit Channel up to 22 knots. Sea 2-3, along the coast 1-2. Visibility 10-20, in places with mist around 5 km, and in the open of the North Adriatic in the evening possibly less than 1 km due to fog. Mostly clear and rather warm.

Light to moderate NW winds. Along the coast light, only in the Velebit Channel up to fresh NE winds. Sea smooth, in the open up to slight. Cloud increase. In the open of the North Adriatic a risk of fog.
