SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure is stationary over the Adriatic while a trough over western Mediterranean is expected to become gradually deeper.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North and in a part of the Central Adriatic NE wind 8-16, locally in the Velebit Channel up to 25 knots, gradually diminishing. Elsewhere NW wind 6-14 knots, towards the open sea of the South Adriatic SE wind 10-18 knots. Sea 2-3, in the Velebit Channel and in the open of the South Adriatic towards the Strait of Otranto 3-4. Visibility 15-25 km. Mostly clear. No significant change in air temperatures.

Mostly clear with passing moderate cloudiness. Along the coast, light to moderate NE, towards the open sea light to moderate NW winds. Sea smooth to slight.
