SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure over the Adriatic is becoming weaker while a trough over western Mediterranean is expected to become gradually deeper

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE winds 12-22, in the Velebit Channel up to 26 knots, still in the course of the day in the open southwards of Istria SE and E winds 14-28 knots. In the Central and South Adriatic SE wind 15-30, along the coast SE and E winds 10-20 knots. Sea 3-4, locally in the open 5. Visibility 10-20 km. Variably cloudy, locally in the open with a little rain. Mostly clear along the coast of the South and of a part of the Central Adriatic, late in the day also elsewhere along the coast.

Mostly clear along the coast. In the open variably cloudy, in places a little rain while from the middle of the night gradual clearing up. In the North Adriatic, moderate to strong NE winds. In the Central and South Adriatic moderate to fresh SE wind, still today towards the open sea strong, locally also of near gale force, in the second part of the night along the coast turning to light to moderate, in the extreme south of the Adriatic strong NE wind. Sea slight and moderate, still today in the open also rough.
