IN THE NORTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF NE AND E WINDS, IN THE CENTRAL AND SOUTH ADRIATIC TOWARDS LATE IN THE DAY OF SE WIND 35-45 KNOTS. IN THE SECOND PART OF THE NIGHT IN THE OPEN OF THE NORTH AND CENTRAL ADRIATIC SEA POSSIBLY 5.

SYNOPSIS

A ridge of high pressure eastwards of the Adriatic is becoming weaker while a trough over the Central Mediterranean is filled up.

WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS

In the North Adriatic NE and E winds, in the Central and South Adriatic also E wind intensifying to 10-20, late in the day locally up to 24 knots. Sea 2-3, late in the day intensifying to 3-4. Visibility 10-20 km, locally reduced to 5 km due to mist, in the open of the North Adriatic less than 1 km due to possible fog, mainly still in the morning along the Italian coast. Partially clear, in the South Adriatic also mostly clear with variable cloud increase. In the afternoon gradual more intense cloud increase is expected, in the open sea also light rain.

In the North Adriatic moderate to strong NE and E winds, in the Central and South Adriatic SE and E winds, in the second part of the night in the open SE wind of near gale force. Sea slight and moderate, early in the morning in the open of the Central and North Adriatic also rough. Variably cloudy, mist in places. Light rain is possible in the open sea.
